Few are willing to say it, but the President of the United States has revealed his narcissism once again. While he threw out an olive branch at the outset of his speech to Congress, promising to “replace acrimony with civility,” everything in his message indicated otherwise, demonstrating his willingness to say one thing for appearance sake, and then immediately attacking those who opposed his healthcare plan. Instead of elevating the discourse and debate by recognizing the concerns of the opposition, and persuading Republicans and the American people that he was truly the bi partisan peacemaker he claimed in his campaign to be, he did just the opposite, vilifying and labeling decent and honest opponents of his healthcare bill.

CHARACTERIZING HIS OPPOSITION

Peter Johnson, a Fox News Analyst, said that instead of saying “I hear you America,” Obama characterized the August Town Halls as a “partisan spectacle” and Republicans as the villains who used “scare tactics,” “distortion,” “misinformation,” “demagoguery,” and “lies.” Not exactly a good way to reach across the aisle to Republicans to build the bi-partisan effort he says he seeks, nor encourage the American people as a whole - Neither politically astute, nor wise. Why did he do this? He is purported to be intelligent, but this wasn’t. It was something else.

THE REAL BARACK OBAMA

Obama’s clearly evident anger, bitterness, and resort to vilification of those who would dare to question him, is nothing short of narcissistic outrage against those who disagree with him. It raises the question, what kind of leader expects adulation? In fact, this message and his previous messages reveal that he is himself the worst kind of demagogue who clearly refuses to hear anything the people say, refuses to change course from what he wants, and threatens to “call you out” if you continue to assert that what he is saying is in error, and will not have the affect he claims it will. He comes across as nothing more than a school yard bully enamored with his own ideas and rhetoric, the rest of us be damned.

As David Horowitz, the former communist, and student of radical left wing strategy and thought, said to Glenn Beck, “Obama is an ideologue out to overthrow the system.” That is why he surrounds himself with other radicals like Van Jones, Mark Lloyd, Cas Sundstein, and other leftists who have the same goal.

THE NEW ‘REALITY’ SHOW

It is time Americans recognized his mental makeup and danger to the nation, and those who refuse to see the ‘clear and present danger’ of a cult like figure who is intolerant of dissent, and apparently willing to stifle opposition by any means to get what he wants.

Whatever else he said should be weighed with these facts in mind.
